‘Bad Moms’ opens in theaters this Friday.

No one said being a mom was easy. From the judgment of others to the nonstop schedule, the pressures of motherhood are hilariously explored in the new comedy “Bad Moms” starring Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell. The Theodore, tucked into the NorthPark Center, is celebrating the film’s release with a “Bad Moms” happy hour from 3-7 p.m., with drink specials. Mamas can get their buzz on then head upstairs to the theater to see the film.

While you’re at NorthPark, check out Dallas CASA’s 21st annual Parade of Playhouses during its final weekend on display. The event raises funds for and awareness about abused and neglected children living in Dallas. You can enter the raffle for a chance to win one of the fanciful playhouses, which are created and donated by local builders and architects. Uncle Calvin’s celebrates its 1500th concert this Friday with songstress Terri Hendrix, a lifelong Texan who is best known for “Hand Me Down Blues” and other folksy songs. Marc Douglas Berardo will open the night’s set at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18.
