It’s hard to beat a day spent with adoptable dogs and home-cooked food. Norma’s Cafe is hosting the “Dog Days of Summer,” where Dallas DogRRR will be on site with a pack of pooches in need of loving homes (scroll through and see their cute faces above). Head over to the Park Lane location, 9100 N. Central Expressway suite 151, from 7:30-9 p.m. this Friday to see the dogs. While you’re there, grab a bite to eat, because proceeds from the day will benefit the rescue dogs. Those who do choose to adopt will score a $25 gift card for Norma’s, in addition to a new fur baby who comes with all its vaccinations, spayed or neutered and microchipped. “We support all dog rescue groups and shelters plus the stance of ‘Adopt Don’t Shop,’ ” said Norma’s owner Ed Murph.
