#FBF: Flying in style with Preston Hollow’s Clipped Bs

With the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport being American Airlines’ largest hub and Southwest being headquartered here, there is no shortage of travel options in Dallas.

But long before the internet was invented, Dallas still was integral to the airline industry. Braniff, Southwest and American were headquartered in the city, and flight hostess jobs in the 1950s and ’60s was in high demand.

Several of our Preston Hollow neighbors were enticed by the high heels and elegant outfits associated with the job, taking to the sky themselves.  In 2012, the Advocate interviewed three former hostesses and Clipped Bs to learn more about the glamour of their glory days, and you can read the piece here.
