This Thursday, the Museum of Biblical Art opens a new exhibition to the public, and it’s one as unconventional as the artist himself.

Transitions and Traditions highlights the glasswork of local artist Brad Abrams, who uses a variety of techniques from blown glass to cast glass to create his work. The exhibition features everything from coffins and gravestones to butterflies and leaves, and it all symbolizes the different phases of life.

The display is open until Dec. 18, and an opening reception is planned Oct. 19 from 7-8:30 p.m.
