Before Preston Hollow’s LeAnne Locken and her friend Heidi Dillon sauntered their way into The Real Housewives of Dallas —which, by the way, was renewed for a second season — the socialites entered the reality TV scene on “Big Rich Texas.”
The Advocate interviewed the co-stars in 2015 to learn about life under the “Big Rich Texas” spotlight, and the charismatic duo was not afraid to let the world know how they felt about their castmates.
“I couldn’t get off that show fast enough,” Locken said. “I would never do reality again with that group of women.”
Preston Hollow’s Arnie Verbeek, star of “Sport in America: Our Defining Stories,” and John Tesar, a regular on Food Network, also discussed why reality TV is so enticing.
“I’ve had my own issues with growth,” Tesar said. “I’m glad people have paid attention to my shortcomings and watched me overcome them.”
They may live in a world where life imitates art, but it’s one that America can’t seem to stop watching. You can revisit what these Preston Hollow neighbors had to say about their descent into reality TV stardom here.
