SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts Symphony Orchestra perform works by composers Mozart and Shostakovich this Friday and Saturday at the Caruth Auditorium. Meadows faculty pianist Catharine Lysinger and guest artist Fredrica Phillip take the stage together for Mozart’s “Concerto in E-flat Major for Two Pianos.” Tickets cost $8 for students, staff and faculty, $14 for adults and $11 for seniors. The Meadows Chamber Music Honors Concert  at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday highlights the chamber music program’s wind, brass, piano and string ensembles. Held at the Caruth Auditorium, the concert is free to attend.

NorthPark Center’s holiday extravaganza is in full swing. If you can’t find a babysitter and still haven’t finished Christmas shopping, bring the kiddos to Storytime with Santa at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at noon on Sunday. Santa will share festive tales about his North Pole home, and he’s also available for portraits throughout the season.
