Local organizations from the Dallas Police Department to the Preston Hollow Women’s Club are doing their part to make the season brighter for those in need.

On Monday, Edgemere shared a taste of holiday cheer with St. Joseph’s Residence, an assisted living facility in Oak Cliff.

The Preston Hollow senior living community served residents and staff prime rib, mashed potatoes, broccoli and dessert, as well as cleaned up after the meal.

Food and beverage director Wesley Helms spearheaded the annual event.

Edgemere’s relationship with St. Joseph’s Residence goes back many years, and it is an honor to prepare a holiday meal for them each year,” Helms said in a news release. “The luncheon gives the staff and residents at St. Joseph’s an opportunity to dine together, something that doesn’t happen very often.”
