Girl lighting the Menorah for Hanukkah

Two Preston Hollow synagogues have scheduled Shabbat services this Friday. At congregation Shearith Israel, a traditional Shabbat service and dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Temple Emanu-El’s Shabbat Evening Service at 6:15 p.m. includes a community candle lighting, social justice project and congregational dinner. There is no fee to attend the service, but dinner costs $18 per adult and $10 per child between the ages of 3-10. Learn more about both services here.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at one of these Preston Hollow restaurants.  Sevy’s Grill, DISH, TJ’s Fresh Seafood Market and Sallio Bistro have holiday menus or special events to usher in 2017.

Most Christmas-themed events have come to a close, but The Trains at NorthPark is open until Jan. 8. Purchase tickets here to watch the trains meander through replicas of the United States’ most notable landmarks.
