Lee Kleinman and Candy Evans will vie for the District 11 seat on Dallas City Council.
If you’re unfamiliar with Candy Evans, she’s a former journalist-turned-real-estate-blogger who founded CandysDirt.com. She filed paperwork indicating she planned to run for the City Council on Tuesday, D magazine reports.
Evans told the Dallas Observer Kleinman is a good neighbor, but “Dallas needs some help. We need transparency and responsible fiscal leadership on that council.”
She also noted she opposes constructing a tollway between the Trinity River levees, an issue that Kleinman has vehemently supported, according to the Observer.
