Satisfy your sweet tooth at Steel City Pops. The ice pop shop recently opened its third Dallas location in Preston Royal Village, where Baskin Robbins once stood. The Alabama-based company announced it was joining our neighborhood seven months ago and finally opened its doors this past weekend.

Lovers Seafood & Market is the latest project of  Shinsei’s Lynae Fearing and Tracy Rathbun. Eater Dallas reported the eatery started serving lunch and dinner on March 6. Offerings range from classic lobster rolls to tuna poké.

If you’re seeking a quick, healthy meal, Flower Child features salads, wraps, bowls and more. Located at Inwood Village, the hippie-themed establishment welcomed customers for the first time this week. The fast casual eatery, created by Fox Restaurant Concepts, has several locations in California and Arizona.

Kickshaws Fast Gastro Food & Drink along Northwest Highway is serving small bites, burgers and entrees.  This is owner Joe Elliott’s first time working in the independent restaurant industry, although he has more than 40 years of experience at TGI Fridays and Chuck E. Cheese.

Street’s Fine Chicken is hopping on the fast-casual bandwagon, too, with plans to open at Forest Lane and Inwood this summer.
