The Friends of the Northaven Trail’s 5k run is making a comeback.

The family-friendly color run is slated April 30 at 4 p.m. Participants stride through bursts of colored powder and leave the race as vibrant tie-dye masterpieces.

Sprint (or jog, if you’d prefer) along the 3.1-mile route, which follows the Northaven Trail from Freda Stern Drive to Preston Road. After the race, sweet treats from Frost Gelato and Kona Shaved Ice will be available, along with energy bars and bottled water.

The event costs $35 per adult, $15 per child ages 12-6 and is free for ages 5 and younger. A discounted rate is available until Friday, March 31.

Packet pick-up is scheduled Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m.-noon and Sunday, April 30 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Get all the details here.
