The Dallas Police Department is sniffing out the man who took a puppy from Petland at 11909 Preston Road.

The suspect reportedly asked to see a golden brown Malti-Tzu dog valued at $2,600, the Dallas Police Department says. After entering the dog viewing room, he picked up the pup and walked out of the store’s front door.

A witness told police they saw the suspect enter a vehicle where two other people waited for him. They already had driven away by the time police arrived.

This past August, police were searching for two people who purchased a $6,666 French Bulldog from Petland using a fraudulent credit card. In an email, Detective Lujan said he’d update the Advocate “if I find the bad guy.”
