A Mexico City-inspired taqueria has been added to the list of businesses reinventing The Hill Shopping Center at the edge of our neighborhood.

Tacodeli is slated to open this fall in the mixed-use development at N. Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane. The casual restaurant originated in Austin 18 years ago and ventured into Dallas in 2015. With more than 40 varieties of tacos, the taqueria prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients.

Tacodeli is the second Austin-based establishment that has  found a home in the mixed-use developmentTreeHouse — a sustainable home improvement store born in the state’s capital — welcomes customers for the first time on June 1.

Coffee addicts may be happy to learn Houndstooth also is rumored to open in The Hill. (Just don’t get too excited yet, especially since the coffee shop has yet to confirm the details).
