Just a year after it opened, Frank’s Taco Grill, just across 75 from Preston Hollow on Upper Greenville, has shuttered its operations. Francisco “Frank” Salinas, a Lake Highlands dad, had hoped to fill the niche for healthy and affordable family friendly fare. His tacos, which ran just $1.50-$4, seemed popular with diners based on online reviews. A line on the restaurant’s website simply reads, “We are closed until further notice and apologize for the inconvenience.”

But the site at 7033 Greenville didn’t sit vacant for long.

Roma’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant made quick work of revamping the space to add archways and other European-inspired design touches (see the video here). The pizzeria previously sat a few blocks down at 7402 Greenville Ave. As part of the grand opening at the new location, expect to find food specials and discounts throughout May.
