Austin’s status as the hipster mecca of Texas remains unshaken, but some of its trendiest businesses are migrating north to the edge of our neighborhood.

In less than a year, three Austin-based businesses announced their plans to make The Hill Shopping Center their new home.

The eco-friendly home improvement store TreeHouse is opening its doors next month, and Tacodeli will start dishing up endless varieties of tacos in the fall. Hat Creek Burger hopes their family-friendly vibe attracts north Dallasites to its new location. Dallas native Drew Gressett established the food-truck-turned-fast-casual restaurant in 2008, CultureMap reported.

(It’s worth noting Unleavened Kitchen and Luna Grill also are slated to open in the shopping center, although they weren’t born in the state capital.)

There still are roughly two dozen vacancies at The Hill, so we’ll keep you updated as to what businesses snag the space.
