The zany playhouses soon to be stationed throughout NorthPark Center could be yours.
The whimsical structures, with themes ranging from a cuckoo clock to a Rubik’s cube, will be on display from July 7 to July 23, when a raffle drawing determines who will become the playhouses’ newest owners.
More importantly, though, is that the Parade of Playhouses raise awareness and funds for Dallas CASA, an organization dedicated to providing a stable support system to children coping with the effects of neglect and abuse.
Dallas CASA organizes and supervises court-appointed special advocates, who work with judges to place youths in the best possible homes. There are 1,093 volunteers in the metroplex, but 4,600 children were placed in protective care in 2016. Only 2,768 of them now have secure homes.
Raffle tickets cost $5 per person or five for $20. They can be purchased at event ticket tables at the shopping center or here.
