North Haven Gardens’ Plant Propagation Workshop on Saturday, July 15, teaches guests how to cultivate their own plants using leaves and seeds. Greenhouse specialist Roseann Ferguson leads the two-hour workshop, which starts at 9:30 a.m. The cost to attend is $25. Learn more here.

The Preston Royal Library is helping kids create kaleidoscopes on Sunday to teach them about optics, mirrors and refractions of light. The class — held from 2-2:45 p.m.  — is geared toward elementary school children. More information is available here.
