Former president George W. Bush has quite a few unlikely friends.

He told The Ticket he hangs out with Bono and the Dalai LamaHe and Michelle Obama are buddies, too, despite their clashing political beliefs.

Thursday, Bush and former president Bill Clinton shared the stage at SMU as part of the Presidential Leadership Scholars’ graduation ceremony. The duo launched the initiative in 2014 to mentor leaders from nonprofit, military, public and private sector backgrounds.
