An office campus at 7505 Forest Lane could be converted into townhouses and apartments or condos.

Last home to CompuCom Systems Inc., the office originally belonged to Electronic Data Systems. In 2011, Florida real estate investor Optima 7171 purchased the property.

Provident Realty Advisors, who also is behind Preston Hollow Village, plans to redevelop the roughly 19.4-acre site. Baldwin Planning and Associates, a zoning consulting firm, filed a zoning change request with the City of Dallas to eliminate nonresidential uses in favor of single and multifamily development.

The property is a subdistrict of Planning District 381, located at the northeast corner of Hillcrest and Forest. The developer has asked to divide the subdistrict into two areas, C1 and C2, for townhouses and as many as 450 apartments or condos.

The Advocate will update this post as we learn more about the development.

This post has been updated to include additional details about the property. Previously, the Advocate also reported that the site would contain single-family homes and townhouses, which was incorrect.
