If you haven’t tried Indian food yet, India Palace may be a good place to start, for several reasons.

It’s one of the few Indian restaurants actually in Dallas , with most others being in the ’burbs. The menu offers thorough explanations for most dishes, with knowledgeable servers available for any questions you still might have. And compared to many Indian restaurants, it does indeed look and feel like a palace.

Of course, a place doesn’t have to look good to serve good food. But if you like elegant surroundings with your chicken tikka masala, India Palace fits the bill. And if you like a little sauce with your curry sauces, India Palace is definitely the place to go: It’s the only Indian place we know of with a full bar.

The restaurant offers a variety of Indian foods, with all of the standard items as well as some harder-to-find dishes. Lamb chops are one of its most popular items. Though they cook it in a tandoori, or clay pot, you can try it in your own oven with this recipe.
