If you’re a yard sale nut, you’re likely to either already know about Consignment Collection, or you’re going to want to know about it. Walking into this store is kind of like walking into a neighborhood block sale at 7 a.m. on a Saturday — no one’s bought the best stuff yet, and there’s a lot to choose from, including furniture, pottery, lamps, pictures, dishes and some truly odd items. The store’s merchandise isn’t always well organized, but as any true garage saler knows, part of the fun is in hunting down the choice items before anyone else does. Tracy Lanham, the store’s owner for 14 years, says he receives more than 100 consignment items every day. Pictured are some recent offerings: a birdhouse, $30, vintage lantern, $10, silver candlesticks, $28, silver embossed pitcher, $22 and a blue and white oriental vase, $18. Consignment Collection is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 12300 Inwood, No. 116-A, 972-788-4444.
