Kit Kittredge at the Galleria

In conjunction with the summer flick, “Kit Kittredge an American Girl,” HomeAid’s Project Playhouse is setting up five Kit inspired playhouses nationwide: Chicago, Dallas, New York and Los Angeles.

From now until July 20, the Galleria is showcasing Kit’s Home on Abbott Place next to the American Girl Boutique and Bistro. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase tickets and be entered for a chance to win the house.

Not only is this a fun attraction for American Girl lovers and children alike to go see, but all proceeds from ticket purchases go toward HomeAid and its mission of constructing homes for the homeless. The houses are built to resemble the home and attic bedroom Kit called her own while growing up during the Great Depression.
