Dallas Water Utilities reminds residents that time-of-day watering restrictions have resumed. These mandatory restrictions prohibit the watering of landscaping from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Oct. 31. Failing to follow the conservation ordinance guidelines could result in fines of $250 to $2,000 per incident.

The Gladys Golman/Faye Dallen Education Fund (GGFDEF) was founded to train religious teachers to work with kids who have learning disabilities. The organization recently granted $30,000 to nine Dallas-area non-profits for promoting education to children with special needs throughout religious schools. Recipients included Preston Hollow temples Tiferet Israel, Congregation Shearith Israel and Akiba Academy, as well as Torah Day School, Congregation Beth, Congregation Kol Ami, B’nai Israel, Jewish Family Service, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas’ Special Needs Initiative.
St. Alcuin Montessori School in Preston Hollow named Bunny Ridenour director of advancement. She will be in charge of the school’s overall advancement program and fundraising efforts. , Ridenour began her career in education administration at Bishop Lynch High School in 1992, and in 2002, Ridenour was named associate director of development at The Shelton School.
