A roundup of Cowboys-related news and notes after Sunday’s loss that wouldn’t necessarily make it on the blog, but is too good to pass up:

• You can fire Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett, but firejerryjones.com is still available. And was that an editorial in Dallas’ Only Daily Newspaper urging Jones to sell the team?

• Consider this lament, from a distraught Cowboys fan on an Eagles’ fan blog: “I hate our bumbling, Bennie Hill looking coach and the red headed idiot standing beside him. And oh goodness yes, I hate Jerry Jones. Maybe more than any of you do."
• The rest of the world noticed. too. Wrote London’s Sun (the one with the Page 3 girls): “Megabucks Dallas, the pre-season title favourites, started in pole position to grab a play-off place. But they produced a mistake-littered display and collapsed 44-6 to the only team who could pip them.” Or this, from the Age in Melbourne: “Former AFL full-forward Sav Rocca will get his first taste of National Football League play-offs after his Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The Eagles overcame the odds to snare a National Football Conference wild-card spot with a resounding 44-6 victory over the Cowboys.” Now that’s some sports writing.

• And finally, this, in which a very excited Eagles owner Jeff Lurie high-fives the woman standing next to him in the head. The Cowboys bring out the best in everyone, don’t they?:
