It’s not very often we venture across LBJ, but in the case that you do have a Galleria excursion planned, keep an eye out for Maximo Mexican Restaurant, Mark Maguire’s latest venture. This chic eatery will be in BLT’s old spot, and while some Tex-Mex staples will be offered, the menu will also have traditional dishes from Puebla, Yucatan, Veracruz and Oaxaca.
I also mention this new eatery because Preston Hollow neighbor and Hillcrest parent Amy Severson got a sneak peak of the new digs last week. She even got to sample a house specialty cocktail, the Black & Blue, which sounds like a mojito-margarita hybrid and absolutely delicious. Let’s just hope we can say the same for the food here, and that if fares far better than BLT did in that space.
