Neighbor Kristi Cawley has witnessed the detriment of Alzheimer’s many times in her line of work as the vice president of sales at Brookdale Senior Living. But it wasn’t until a chance encounter with one particular patient that she felt moved to write a song about the effects of the disease. She’s now using that song, “Did She Dance,” to help raise awareness about the disease and fund research.
Tomorrow night from 7-9 Cawley will be performing her song at The Library Bar inside the Warwick Melrose Hotel for a fundraiser. During that time, $2 from every cocktail you buy will benefit the national Alzheimer’s Association —as will proceeds from any CD sales.
