Been wondering what to do ever since Bagelstein’s closed after its short appearance in the old Jason’s Deli slot at the Preston Royal Village? Well, come this summer, Preston Hollow residents Mark Brezinski and Jim Baron have got you covered.

The two are taking over the spot to open a New York-style deli they’re calling Zinsky’s Delicatessen and Catering, according to SideDish’s Nancy Nichols.

You probably know Brezinkski as a member of the development team that create the eatZi’s concept. He also is the co-founder of the Tin Star and Pei Wei restaurants, and most recently started Bengal Coast at the Centrum at Cedar Springs and Oak Lawn. Baron and his wife Liz operate six locations of Blue Mesa.

With Zinsky’s going in at Preston Royal this summer, and Roasters’ n Toasters set to open where Ed’s Deli was at Preston and LBJ very soon, is this the restorative balance we’ve been waiting for to end the recession?
