Registration for the annual Michelob Ultra No. 11 Katy 5K has just opened online—and another good turnout of runners is expected for the May 14 race. But about 150 volunteers are still needed to help out with the event. Volunteers will help register runners, monitor the course, and pass out timing chips. In an attempt to bolster participation this year, The Friends of the Katy Trail are offering volunteers free entrance to the after-race party, a free race t-shirt, free samples from about 50 restaurants, free soda and free Michelob Ultra.
