A few weeks ago, I spotted Cappa Café, a new coffee shop in Lakeside Village off Walnut Hill and Central Expressway. To be honest, it had fallen off my radar until I came across mention of it again on neighbor Amy Severson’s blog. I did some calling around this afternoon and managed to get owner Arif Faval on the phone. Here’s the scoop:

There will be a soft opening this weekend, and the official opening will be sometime early next week. The exact date is contingent on some issues they’ve run into while trying to install the phone lines. There will be a drive-thru and small dine-in area. The menu will feature gourmet coffees, blended beverages, and on-the-go menu items like paninis and breakfast burritos.

“Our menu will feature simple, healthy items—and we’ve tried to keep it all affordable,” Faval says.

The website isn’t up and running yet, but he says that too should be ready by next week. And this is actually the first location of what Faval hopes will become a local chain—he just broke ground on another Cappa Café in Plano.
