Four Hillcrest students were hospitalized today and the school was evacuated after an incident involving pepper spray, according to this CBS 11 story.
Apparently a fight broke out around 1:45 p.m. and an officer used pepper spray to control the situation. That pepper spray, however, entered the ventilation system, and several people complained of breathing problems—so the school was evacuated, and four students were sent to the hospital.
No weapons were involved in that fight. I’m putting in a few calls now to see what I can learn—I’ll keep you updated.
