With the first round of Dallas Central Appraisal District’s home valuation appraisals going out next week, this item is particularly timely.

According to North Texas Real Estate Information Systems data collected by The Dallas Morning News, median price for homes in North Dallas, including Preston Hollow, have dropped an average of 32 percent.

Keep that in mind when you get your appraisal. Something tells me DCAD’s not going to be as generous with their estimations, and you may have to go and protest your property tax valuation.
