I was looking at school district calendars around the area trying to figure out why there’s nothing going on this week…that is before I realized it’s TAKS test week.
I was already out of school when the TAKS test began, but I vividly remember taking the TAAS test in elementary school and how much nicer the teachers were that week. [I went to private upper school where TAAS tests aren’t administered.]
The school cafeteria would bring muffins and juice for everyone, and once testing was over, we got a really long recess.
So there may not be any sports or after school events this week, but enjoy the recess, kids.
