This month, attend an event …
…benefitting North Dallas Shared Ministries, which helps more than 52,000 neighbors in need every year. The nonprofit’s May 7 benefit concert, “Music and Laughter”, takes place at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Walnut Hill. The evening kicks off with a 6 p.m. lasagna dinner courtesy of Preston Hollow Caterers, followed by the comedy of preacher, author and television host Dennis Swanberg, and ends with a concert by neighborhood band The Cat Daddies. Dinner and event tickets are $30 (or $20 for the event only).

Or purchase for a cause …
… at Eatzi’s Market and Bakery, 3403 Oak Lawn. Whenever you buy a cup of soup at The Grill inside, a portion of those proceeds benefit Hunger Busters, a neighborhood charity that feeds the homeless and those in need. And each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, Eatzi’s partners with Hunger Busters to deliver 30 gallons of soup and 400 sandwiches to the city’s homeless.
