Burguesa Burger’s has just opened off Inwood, it’s the bright orange hut next to Sonny Bryan’s.

This eatery takes a page from south of the border, serving burgers with a slice of ham on top of the patty, which is common throughout Latin America. Their signature “la monumental,” comes with two beef patties, cheese, a slice of ham, a crunchy orange tostada, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, onions, special sauce, and jalapenos.

The menu also offers fries, shakes, and Mexican candies. Sodas here are made with good ol’ fashioned cane sugar, which is also what you find in Latin America—and they accept Mexican pesos.

Genghis Grill and Which Wich founder Jeff Sinelli is behind this new burger concept. And if you’re curious: yes, Sinelli did compare notes with Pizza Patron founder Antonio Swad before launching this newest venture.
