Nathan Adams Elementary principal Jean McGill was one of two in Dallas selected to attend The Principals’ Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

The Harvard Leadership Program is sponsored by Raise Your Hand Texas, a nonprofit that supports public education. Every year, Raise Your Hand sends the top public and charter school campus leaders to The Principals’ Center, where they work with leading national and international experts in the fields of education and leadership.

Along with 350 other candidates nationwide, McGill and Verna Mitchell of Dallas Can Academy will participate in one of five summer institutes the week of July 19.

McGill is a 35-year veteran of Dallas ISD. Most of that career has been spent right here in our neighborhood at Nathan Adams, where she initially taught first grade and has served as principal the last eight years.
