If you build it, Yoda will come. This weekend, LEGO enthusiasts of all ages can help master builder Dan Steininger construct an eight-foot “Star Wars” Yoda statue during the grand opening of NorthPark’s LEGO store.

Participants will earn a store coupon as well as a LEGO “Star Wars” Certificate of Achievement. On Saturday, the first 300 customers to spend $35 or more will receive a free Texas Longhorn Skull LEGO set, designed exclusively for the store’s grand opening.

On Sunday, a $35 purchase will get you a free, commemorative children’s LEGO minifigure t-shirt. Steininger, who has worked at LEGO’s headquarters in Connecticut for the last 16 years, will be giving away special building tips throughout the day.

This three-day event will take place on level one in Macy’s Court, and kicks off the weekend of Friday, July 17 through Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and ends on Sunday, July 19 from noon – 6 p.m.
