Advocate Publishing managing editor extraordinaire Keri Mitchell last night delivered a 6-pound 4-ounce baby girl named Elliana Nicole Mitchell. Preston Hollow/ North Dallas editor Marlena Chavira-Medford and I dropped in on the happy family at Medical City earlier today — Keri looked more relaxed than I’d seen her in months, though that possibly had something to do with the painkillers.
I just feel bad that she didn’t get even one day of reprieve between wrapping things up here at the magazine and going into labor — nothing like jumping from one maelstrom right into another. Oh well, here’s to new life and the adventure ahead! Congratulations Keri, Damien and little Elliana Mitchell.
