If you are curious about the eclectic-looking gang of cyclists cruising Mockingbird, Greenville and the Uptown area last night — I have answers (though vague) by way of video footage. Advocate photographer Can "Turk" Turkyilmaz carried a hand-held flip camera to the "Monday Night Mash", a weekly ride and pub crawl featuring all types of bikes and riders. The group meets at Mockingbird Station at 8 p.m. Mondays and rides through the Greenville and Uptown areas, stopping off for the occassional beer at bike-friendly neighborhood haunts, such as The Blue Collar Bar on Henderson, owned by Donavan Dawson, a bike enthusiast himself, who was pleasantly surprised to see the group of thirsty pedal pushers in his lounge, Turk says.
