Just when I thought our neighborhood frozen yogurt market was completely saturated, news of yet another shop. Pinkberry is opening its first Texas location at Preston Royal Village in early November. No word yet on an exact date, but I’ve contacted the company for more information.

Pinkberry will be next door to MERGE, which has temporarily closed to make room for the new yogurt shop. MERGE will reopen once construction is done.

I sampled Pink Berry earlier this week while I was in Los Angeles, and it’s very good. The menu is simple: just a handful of good-for-you flavors (all with live cultures) and lots of fresh topping selections.

Preston Royal Village is already home to I Heart Yogurt, a popular do-it-yourself yogurt bar. And down the block, there’s the newly opened Yogenfruz—not to mention the nearby Menchies, Fresh Berry, Yogilicious, Orange Cup, Sorbeteria, and Gooey’s.
