It’s official: W.T. White has won bragging rights for another year. The Longhorns beat their rival Panthers during Friday night’s big game with a final score of 21 to 14.

It was a bittersweet victory for W.T. White coach Eric Ezar, who lost his father suddenly about two weeks ago. To help fill that void and show their support, about 40 members of Ezar’s family (shown here) drove up from Waco to cheer on the Longhorns. After the game, players iced down Ezar and gave him a signed football for keepsakes.

Oh, due to a “statistical tie,” both principals had to have their hair painted—which we got some classic photos of, so keep an eye out for the next edition of Advocate.

Congratulations Longhorns, you earned it. And better luck next year, Panthers.
