I’ll be the first to admit I should be better read on world affairs, and I can’t tell you what colors are hot this season — but I do fancy myself a bit of foodie, especially when it comes to sweets. This year alone in Preston Hollow, I’ve tracked the yogurt craze, reported on the rising of popularity of cupcake delivery, and most recently bundt cakes. The newest to join the ranks are Tart Bakery’s whoopie pies, which contrary to logic involves no pie. Instead, it’s two mini-cakes with icing sandwiched between them.
The new menu item coordinates with Tart’s 5-year anniversary this month. You can find a complete list of anniversary specials here after the jump. And just a reminder: this is the time of year you can get their famous turkey wreaths (croissant rings stuffed with turkey).
