Donate a coat …
… Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 5-9 p.m. during Mockingbird Station’s Victorian Christmas Night. During this time, a portion of the center will be closed off to traffic so it can be transformed into a Victorian streetscape, complete with horse-drawn carriages and a Dickensian choir. Everyone is asked to bring a new or gently used coat, which will be donated to Burlington Coat Factory’s Warm Coat project.

Or attend an event …
… at Hyena’s Comedy Club, 5321 E. Mockingbird, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 5-9 p.m. That’s when a panel of local celebrity judges will crown a winner in the Hunky Santa pageant, who will land a modeling gig in an upcoming Oscar Fierro Show. Although the event is free, a monetary donation is encouraged. Proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success, a nonprofit that helps disadvantaged women become self-sufficient.
