Fifty-five DISD schools have been named to the National Center for Educational Achievement’s 2009 “Just for the Kids Higher Performing Schools” list. That’s up from 47 DISD schools that made the list last year.

Schools in our neighborhood to make that list are E. D. Walker Middle School, W. T. White High School and Walnut Hill Elementary. You can find the complete list of DISD schools that made the list here after the jump.

The criteria for this list was based on TAKS progress, and how well students were prepared for college. You can get more details on how data was collected here.
