Dallas nonprofit Interfaith Housing Coalition has named Preston Hollow resident Christine Cook of Sleep Experts a “Service Hero,” recognizing her commitment to helping families in need through her company’s mattress donation program.

“Christine Cook and the Sleep Experts organization make a difference in the lives of parents and children who are living in Interfaith Housing’s 49 apartments while they transform their lives from poverty and homelessness to self sufficiency,” said Linda Hall, CEO of Interfaith Housing Coalition. “When families graduate from Interfaith Housing, they are able to take their mattresses with them to their new homes.”

In addition to donating those mattresses, Cook and a team of Sleep Experts employees volunteer at Interfaith Housing. Last year, for example, they cleaned, painted and prepared Interfaith Housing apartments for families newly accepted into the program, and this Friday they are hosting a Mother’s Day cookout and family celebration for the entire resident community.
