We blogged on Monday about the finalists for DISD’s Teacher of the Year award, and wouldn’t ya know it, Hillcrest band teacher Brian Adam Smith took home the honor last night during the ceremony at the Women’s Museum in Fair Park.
Smith received $5,000. He was one of four finalists across chosen from across the district.
