Let’s cut to the chase here — the reason to go to Lenny’s Sub Shop is the Homemade Chicken Salad Sub. That’s not something you see on every deli menu, although the other sandwiches are good too, so I’ve heard. The shop mainly prides itself on its Philly Cheesesteaks.

But after a long day at the office and never making time to eat, the chicken salad really hit the spot. It’s pretty standard but made from scratch and sandwiched between two pieces of light, fluffy bread. And the sandwiches are huge so $6 wasn’t a bad price.

Lenny’s now has locations in University Park and at Walnut Hill near Harry Hines.
