At about 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, a man and woman went knocking on doors in the Sparkman Club Estates neighborhood, saying they were neighbors gathering Campbell Soup labels for a school project.

Sparkman neighbors knew something was up-the two looked way to old to be students. They called Dallas police who stopped the suspects a few more houses down where, this time, they were trying to sell magazine subscriptions. The scam artists received tickets and were asked to leave the area. They had no IDs and were living at the Bridge homeless shelter.

Just another reminder to be cautious when suspicious people show up at your doorstep trying to sell something.
