Neighborhood Services Bar & Grille opened last month at Preston and Royal where Baby Gap used to be.  My neighborhood bestie and I went to catch up (after way too long) and were looking forward to checking out the newest restaurant in the ‘hood.  We sat at the bar and sampled drinks that read better than they tasted.

The place was packed.  We couldn’t stop wondering why it seemed so much smaller than the Gap we spent hours  and hours in shopping for our kids before it closed.  We decided we felt like we were in Ralph Lauren’s den at a really loud cocktail party.

The sinks in the bathroom are full of ice.  We thought they had emptied an ice bucket or something.  No – it’s so the water won’t splash on you.

We did get a booth and eat. The food was OK.
