Remember, it’s tax free weekend. (I always forget about that little event until I’m stuck in a never-ending line of traffic during my run to Target just pick up milk.) But hey, if you’re braver than me, head out to NorthPark for its “On the Runway” fall fashion event between Nordstrom and Macy’s. It features the latest trends for the season and a model search. It’s free, unless you want special reserved seats near the runway for $15 each.

The Meadows Museum is hosting an afternoon drawing workshop 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday with artist Ian O’Brien. The free class is based on the museum’s permanent collection and designed for people 15 and older. It’s open to the first 20 students. Just bring a sketchpad and pencil.

Forgive me if I talk about Inwood Theatre too much, but it’s one of my absolute favorite places in Dallas – mainly at midnight on the weekends. This week, they’re screening “Airplane”, which we’ve probably all seen at least a dozen times. Yes, it’s corny and dated, but everyone deserves to veg out on the theater’s comfy couches for a few hours with good friends and good booze, reciting quotes (“What’s your vector, Victor?”, “Roger, Roger.”)
