Two Methodist churches in Preston Hollow will display their pumpkin patches, beginning Sept. 25.

Preston Hollow United Methodist Church will sell pumpkins to raise proceeds for their youth programs beginning Sept. 25-Oct. 29.

Jacob Fields, the youth and children’s minister, says the money from the pumpkins is used to help people in need.  Proceeds from previous sales, Fields says, have helped the church send financial aid to countries like Haiti and in participating in a potato drop, where the church donated over 46,000 pounds of potatoes to 20 area food banks and food pantries.

Fields says there will be a large selection for purchase including: white, green, traditional orange, flat, and large pumpkins between 60-100 pounds.  Pumpkins prices will range from $3 to $40.

Lovers Lane United Methodist Church will also have a pumpkin patch sale from Sept. 25-Oct. 31.  The sale will run Monday-Friday, 2-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.  Proceeds from the sale will go towards the several of the church’s programs.
